About Startup Attic

Discover what others overlook.

Why Startup Attic?

An attic is where overlooked things are often discovered.

The startup world is full of promising companies, emerging technologies, and new ideas. But with so much noise, it's easy to miss what's actually valuable.

Startup Attic exists to find those hidden gems and look beyond the headlines.

We explore what startups build, who their products are for, how they compare with alternatives, and whether they're worth your attention.

Discover what others overlook.

What we do

Startup Attic is an independent startup discovery and technology publication.

We focus on emerging companies, funding announcements, AI products, and useful technologies.

Our goal is not to cover every startup launch.

It's to help readers understand what matters, why it matters, and which products deserve a closer look.

How we approach our research

Every Startup Attic Breakdown aims to answer five questions:

  1. What happened?
  2. What does the company actually build?
  3. Why does it matter?
  4. Who should care?
  5. What's our take?

We distinguish company claims from verified facts and editorial opinions.

When we haven't independently tested a product, we say so.

We link to original sources and explain technology without unnecessary jargon or hype.

Behind Startup Attic

Rauan Berdali

Founder & Editor

Startup Attic was founded by Rauan Berdali, a product manager and AI product builder based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

After seeing how difficult it had become to separate useful technology from endless startup announcements, Rauan created Startup Attic to make discovering and understanding emerging companies easier.

The goal is simple: help founders, product managers, and curious professionals discover promising startups and understand what they're actually building.
